Are the 16F1784/6/7 ever likely to get released as allowable PICs in v5? Looking for one with inbuild op amp that is reasonably fast but not expecting you to implement the op amp function in Flowcode.
16F1782/3/8 are other possibles.
How does one work out how much faster a PIC is going to be compared with another? For instance these PICs are in the Enhanced Mid Range series and quote up to 5 MIPS with max 32Mhz clock and have more instructions available than the previous 20Mhz 16F690 I was using, which is a normal mid range PIC with 35 instructions. No MIPS rating quoted for that.
The answer will probably depend in the task so lets say it’s for multiplication and division of integers mainly
A Microchip press release said of the enhance range compared with normal ones “The enhancements provide users with a boost of performance of up to 50%.” But as the clock speed can generally be 50% higher they could be referring to that rather then a boost from more instructions.

Hello,
We are generally limited by what chips BoostC supports, as yet i dont beleive these chips are supported by Boost C, and thus are not available in Flowcode.
