Chart Does Not Work In Hardware

Hi,

I have a chart that works in simulation but does nothing when put in hardware, I would appreciate it if somebody could have a look at it please...

Hi Stuart I have checked the RS232 TX side, and its sending correct data.
This is what's being transmitted:

I did not have time to carry out any further testing.
Will continue tomorrow.

Hi Martin,

Thanks for doing that, I don't know what is going on then, I get nothing coming out, I will have to have another mess, the strange thing is I have a chart that uses the visi component and it sends the data out fine, as soon as i switch to the rs232 component I get nothing....

No problem.
The only thing I did that was different from the flowchart you posted was to change rs232 from the default software (unusual its not hardware set for default ) to hardware.

Hi Martin,

Thanks for the info, I have tried Hardware & Software, but now I know that the chart is OK I will check some other stuff tonight, just as a matter of interest what operating system do you use on your PC?

Hi Martin,

I changed to Hardware and programmed again but nothing, so I am trying to get my Pickit 3 recognized on my Windows 7 tower at the moment so I can try and program on that.....

Hi,

I have got it working, I had an LCD connected to the chip and when I removed all the wires and programmed again it worked.... :D

I just need to try and get it all on the screen now because the timebase seems to jump from 500us to 1ms but you can download different firmware I beleive.
