hi guys,
i have had no problems running a 16x2 lcd display, and i assumed that driving a 16x4 would be pretty much the same, and i also assumed that when i type in the cursor numbers i could simply put x0, y4 and it would write to the 4th line on the display, however this doesnt seem to be the case.
it does however work with line1 and line2 on the display.
is there any way to get around this?
thanks,
matt

Re: Driving a 16x4 LCD
Hi Matt
The 2x16 and 4x20 are the common types.
To use other layouts you need to use the generic LCD.
This lets you set the row and column config to suit your hardware.
It does not show in the main output components.
Click search on the main tool bar and search for LCD.
You need to goto component properties and set the row column to 4 & 16
