Ecio Driver
Morning,
having some issues with my ecio40 & ecio28 boards
Seams after Wednesdays update something has gone wrong, have tried re installing the drivers but get error message's as attached - worked previously ok
anybody got any ideas, or this happening to them.
ecio not showing in device manager when plugged in but sometimes see a notification in task bar that something plugged in no error messages.
running win 7 X64 home on pc

Re: Ecio Driver
Hi Steve,
The driver is working ok for me, win 7 64-bit.
Maybe the driver installation wizard on your PC has become damaged.
You can try right clicking the driver "mchpusb.inf" file and selecting install.
Also make sure the files are extracted from the zip file as Windows struggles to deal with resource files inside zips. I use winrar as that extracts everything first to a temp folder to get around these problems.

Re: Ecio Driver
Hi Ben
I unziped the file first, I get the EULA and then the installing software dialog box then after a few seconds the Failed message shows.
Will have a go with right clicking the driver "mchpusb.inf" file and selecting install.
And get back to you

Re: Ecio Driver
I installed these drivers on my fresh Win 7 laptop last night and they were working there too and allowing me to program the ECIOs.
So the drivers definitely still work. Though that doesn't help you with your problem.

Re: Ecio Driver
Hey, i had a flashback!
What devices you have connected when trying to install the driver? Can you pull other USB devices out to try with just minimum?
I had once problems with driver installation and finally traced the problem to be USB card reader being connected at same time with EB006... Pulled it out and everything worked like charm.

Hi Ets
No other usb devices connected when trying to install
did the right click - install this did something
Still not working , there must be some sort of driver loaded somewhere as I have a icon in notifications
device manager doesn't list the ecio under USB
Looking like a wipe and start again just tried my usb RS232 adaptor and this loaded ok when plugged into the same port

Re: Ecio Driver
Hi Steve,
You can run mLoader from the Flowcode directory, it should live in the "tools/mLoader" folder.
e.g.
Flowcode 7/Tools/mLoader/mLoader.exe
If the ECIO is detected when you hit the reset button and the LED is flashing then the red circle will change to a green circle with the text ECIO inside.
