PIC24FJ128GA202 compile error

Post by leoo »

Hi,

I get the following error when trying to compile to this PIC24 with FCv7.2.1.4:

TEST PIC24FJ128GA202.c:32:22: fatal error: p24Exxxx.h: No such file or directory

The file cannot be found anywhere in the Flowcode 7 folder. Is it possible to get this file and will this solve the compile problem completely?

Kind regards.
Leo

Hi Leo,

The file should be stored here in the Flowcode installation "Flowcode 7\compilers\pic16\support\PIC24E\h"

If the file does not exist then maybe there was a problem with the Flowcode installation? Performing a repair installation should hopefully solve the problem for you.

If the file is there then can you post your Flowcode project and we will investigate for you.

Hi Ben,

I found the file where you said it would be, so I assume that the installation is OK.

It seems as if the compiler is looking for the p24Exxxx.h file in the PIC24F/h folder. I copied the p24Exxxx.h file into the PIC24F/h folder and the test prog compiled OK and generated the hex file. I then got a "Unknown chip type in data file" message while trying to send the hex file to the chip.

The settings on the EB064-00-2 are set to Vrail, USB and the program pins are set to B (B0 and B1)

Kind regards.

Hi Leo,

I found the reason for the problem, the file was looking at the P24E header rather than the P24F header. I've now fixed this in the definitions file.

To use the latest file simply copy it to your "Flowcode 7/FCD/PIC16" folder and restart Flowcode.

The device is not on the supported chips list for the EB064 board and so is likely not supported in our mLoader software. You may be able to use the chip on the board using a PICkit 3 programmer.
