Hello I am Ron,
New to flowcode 7. I was using flowcode 5 and got around in it by generating .ASM file and then to MPLabs IDE and brought up the .asm there and then did a quick build and then to pickit 3 to the chip.
I installed Flowcode 7 and created a project and did some stuff with pwm and now to generate the .asm file to program the same way I can not get the .ASM file to be generated. I looked at the compiler options and it is set to do nothing.
So I do not know if I can did it the same way as the old system that I used or if there is a new and better way?
What to the compilers have to be set to to generate this/these files.
I think that this should be easy, but it is not for me.
Thanks
Ron

Re: Setting up Flowcode 7 to generate connect output files
Hi Ron,
Can you please read the forum rules about posting in Tips & Tricks section.
I have moved topic to a more suitable section.
After compiling to hex or target you should see a generated ASM file without changing compiler settings.
You can use Flowcode to compile to hex (Build, Compile to hex) then use hex file for loading into programmer for sending to chip.
Or you can set up Flowcode to use with PICkit3 so when send to target its directly sends codes via PICkit3.
Take a look at this topic.

Martin,
Thanks
And it does not generate a hex file.

Re: Setting up Flowcode 7 to generate connect output files
Your welcome.
If that is the case then you could post the flowchart so it can be checked for you.
If no error then selecting 'BUILD', 'Compile to Hex' or 'Compile to Chip' will produce a hex file.
Only if there is a error during compiling.ronbo417 wrote:And it does not generate a hex file.

Do you have a programmer?
If not, you will require a programmer.
Matrix sell a programming Eblock (EB006)
Ideal for prototype testing
Or you can use a hobby programmer like PICkit3.
once you researched and have a programmer we can take it from there.
