Re: STM8 range micros
Hi all
In my opinion, the lack of STM8 family for Flowcode is a major drawback. I suffered a lot from this. STM8 must be in the future.
Dear Benj; I hope you consider this request.

I also asked for support for the STM8 parts back in June 2013:CSM2711 wrote:oh yes!!!

There appears to be have been no movement by MatrixTSL to support the STM8 micros which is a real shame.
I guess it is all about the number of seats being sold. Perhaps there are lots more hobbyists out there than professional engineers who buy Flowcode?
The STM8 Value Line micros continue to dominate in the automotive & white goods arena as they are so very cheap. It seems that no other manufacturer can get close to these micros with anything that is comparable.
Perhaps MatrixTXL will relook at their decision to support these parts?

Re: STM8 range micros
Dear Flowcode Family,
I hope you are fine.. God bless you.
In the future, STM8, NXP and NUVOTON family should be supported.
It will increase its popularity in the Flowcode program.
The Flowcode Family I want to help. How can I help? In FLOWCODE, Turkey's very little known and using.
I really like the Flowcode program.

Re: STM8 range micros
Any further news on whether the stm8 will be included in existing version or new version of flowcode

Re: STM8 range micros
Hello,
We are currently working on adding a new chip pack for Flowcode in the form of a ESP32 device. We are also working hard on a new major version.
The STM8 devices do look good and we have some here, I'll make sure they are still on the list for a potential future chip pack and see if we can find a way to bring these sooner rather than later.
Regarding spreading the word about Flowcode, maybe mention it in forums, create projects using it mentioning the free 30-day trial and then the ongoing free version. We are also looking at some more novel new ways to help people adopt Flowcode in the upcoming version which we hope will be a success.

Re: STM8 range micros
Hi Gavin,
Unfortunatley I beleive they require a different toolchain to the STM32 and different CAL code so adding support for them is still going to be a large undertaking.
