Good day all.
I'm needing a technique for reading and writing an 80kb file to and from external eeprom memory.
Has anyone done this? If so, can you add some in-site as to how this can be accomplished; and with this, ensuring the integrity of
the file. I'm OK, with writing and reading strings to external eeprom. I don't know how to approach reading and writing an entire file.
Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Re: W/R an 80kb fille to/from external eeprom
Hello Ondra,
One way would be to use the RS232 component and then use the send file option in hyperterminal to transfer the data into the micro which can then be passed onto the EEPROM. Another method would be to pop the data onto a SD card and use the FAT component to stream the data. I think PICkit's are also supposed to support programming some EEPROM devices though I've never used this feature.
