im getting a few of these chips and have some questions, first of all does anyone have a file with the correct chip configuration?
i see it has a bunch of pwm's but how do i access them (dont have physical chip yet), looks like they are configurable for different pins.....is there anything that i should know about this chip thats different when compared to a more basic chip such as the 16f1938?

Re: 18f26k80 pwm
Hi Brandonb
We have tried this chip for CAN few days earlier..Here is the configuration setting for the chip. I have posted that for external oscillator with 19.66 or 20 MHz crystal. One important issue is it's CAN pin can be swapped to RC6&7 from RB2&3...but those don't work. So CAN should be at RB2&3 as I have shown.
Hope that it helps you.

Re: 18f26k80 pwm
ahh that sucks, the board i designed has a comm breakout on c6/c7 for uart, was hoping to use those pins to experiment with can buss later on since i have a switch board that attaches to the b bank 1-5 pins in flowcode when i click on the pwm properties it claims to have 5, but the pinout shows ccp2 only, how does this work or does this work? im gonna be using this chip with internal osc at 16/64Mhz is osc line the only thing i would change? thanksSo CAN should be at RB2&3 as I have shown

I guess we can solve this CAN issue near future.ahh that sucks, the board i designed has a comm breakout on c6/c7 for uart, was hoping to use those pins to experiment with can buss later on since i have a switch board that attaches to the b bank 1-5 pins
Yes. you are right. 4 CCP channel and one ECCP channel. Flowcode still don't support ECCP as far I know which is channel 1. I have corrected the FCD file and posted it here. If you download the FCD and put that into the V5>FCD folder and replace old one you will see right pin out in Flowcode. Remember to re-start flowcode after changing FCD to see the effect.in flowcode when i click on the pwm properties it claims to have 5, but the pinout shows ccp2 only, how does this work or does this work?

Re: 18f26k80 pwm
I forgot to answer that bit..
Here is the config for internal 16MHz oscillator clock..if you want to use 64MHz you just keep config same just "Enable PLL.im gonna be using this chip with internal osc at 16/64Mhz is osc line the only thing i would change?

Re: 18f26k80 pwm
thanks enamul, this is great, there are two pwms on convient pins c6/c7
im happy with uart communication only on those pins, i have much i can do for months with uart so no worries about can buss on alternative pins, i would probably get confuse with can buss anyway
