ARDUINO MEGA + SIM800L + Flowcode 7

Post by cortex »

Hi,

I have issues communicating with my SIM800L module with flowcode 7.

i checked my setup using Arduino IDE (with Software Serial library) and everything works fine, i can send and receive data from and to the module.

Yet as soon as i switch back to Flowcode, hook my module to RX1/TX1 of my MEGA, the GSM:Initialise() Macro never RETURNS 0.

What could i be missing ?

Hello,

Any idea what value the initialise macro is returning.

255 = SMS Message Format Command "AT+CMGF=1" Send Fail
254 = SMS Message Format Command Reply Fail
253 = SMS New Message Indication Command "AT+CNMI=1,2,0,0,0" Send Fail
252 = SMS New Message Indication Command Reply Fail

If you're not using SMS messages then you may be able to ignore the error return value, however it would be good to know what's going wrong.

Looking at the AT command datasheet for the SIM800L both AT commands should be supported.

Hi benj,

It returns 255.

for this project i actually exclusively use SMS.

I checked if the Commands are supported using a terminal, and both are supported.

Hi everyone,

I fixed my issue.
And the solution is the silliest one !

Rx1 and Tx1 tags are reversed on my Arduino Mega (which i guess now is a knock off)....

Problem solve.

Thx you for helping.
