I've just been checking out my new MIAC. I asked for some assistance on how I can have more I/Os than those available on the MIAC. It was recommended that I connect to the MIAC the EB-018-00-1 CAN Board to connect to an ECIO-40P on an EB061 ECIO Application board.
I can't seem to find the data sheet for the EB061. I'm wondering on which Port on the EB061 should I connect the CAN Board?

Re: MIAC with ECIO
For connecting the ECIO40 up to the EB018 CAN board using the EB061 ECIO Application board you will need to do the following steps.
1) Connect the EB018 board to PortB of the EB061.
2) Change the jumpers on the EB018 board to C and 2.
3) Connect wires between the patch system on the following pins.
0 - SDI
1 - SCK
2 - /INT
3 - /CS
4) Then you have to connect a wire to port C7 to collect the remaining SDO pin. You can do this in a number of ways.
a) Use a EB002 screw terminal board.
b) Use a Male 9-way D-Type connector and solder on a wire on pin 8.
c) Solder a wire directly to the underside of the PortC D-type on the EB061.
5) Once you have the wire you can plug this into your SDO socket on the EB018 patch system.
6) Then when you have done all this go into the Flowcode CAN component properties and change the INTO value to 2 and the Chip Select value to 3.
This is the easiest way to achieve the correct SPI connection to the EB018 board.
Another method would involve bridging the two SPI pins (B0 and B1) over to the spare pins on PortC which would remove the need for the flying wire, however this would still involve the patch system and would involve a modification to the code to allow the INT and CS pins to switch port.
