Error message speech component

Post by g-slocombe »

First off sorry for posting in general programming and not flowcode V4 but I entered my forum user name in the online resources, not the user name the V4 software is registered in ie my company name. So no new post button visible on V4 forum..

When I try to download program to chip I get the message "Error loading macro data from speech(0) Please contact technical support".

I have successfully used the speech component this problem has just cropped up and I can't fix it.
thanks Gary

Hello Gary

I have now updated your permissions so you can post in the v4 section now.

Did you do anything from the speech component working to it now not working. Eg have you changed PC or using an older version of Flowcode or manually changed any of the files etc.

The master Phonemes file is the phonemes.raw file located in your Components directory of Flowcode. This contains all of the phonemes that are then loaded into your component file PIC_SPEECH.c on compilation.

Could it be that you have assigned custom code to one of the speech macros. You can test this by selecting the componant and then clicking custom code and seeing if any of the customized code items in the table are true.

Hi Benj

I am using PIC18F4682 with HP488 board

Things I have done :
1.Added latest Flowcode patch Now flowcode V4.2.3.58
2.I unchecked some of the phonemes that I no longer needed clicked USE then APPLY and OK.
3.When compiling to chip reported that PIC was not erased.
4.I used ICD2 to erase the pic and set link pack to USB.
5.tried using PPP3 to erase the pic but did not work

above not necessarily in order
thanks Gary
