In the gps example of time and date the is a Display macro missing.

I have looked at the examples available online and the program seems to be correct. Eg the time and date are printed out correctly.

Where abouts is the missing display macro in your version of the example file?

Or is it that the display macro is not in the tabs list? If so then you can view the macro by clicking the "Macro" menu and selecting "Show".
