How to register : Annual student rental for site licence

Post by benp »

We have an Annual student rental for site licence holder.
I don't know how the students must register
Some of them are able to register with a lot of testing but most of them fail.
None of them found a quick method.
Each student can take the next number from the serial list from our serial server which work with the student loggin.

What is the exact method?
What must be entered in:
CD code:

Activation code:

Hello,

To register Flowcode (assuming v4) you will need:

- CD Key
- Username
- Activation Key

You enter the CD-Key during installation, then if using windows 7/Windows Vista you need to raise the program to haev admin privileges (right click on the shortcut + run as admin), then click Help >> Register then enter the username and activation key.

This should fully register Flowcode v4.

This is the standard method for Flowcode V4 pro and Flowcode V4-50 concurrent users and I know how to do it.
My question is for "annual rental for site licence holder" ONLY!
I tried your method and a lot of student tried your method with:
CD code: the CD code from our site licence
Activation code: the activation code from the code list I received with my "annual rental for site licence holder"

This work only the time de CD code is valid.
If one student click on get activation code, he send a mail to matrix multimédia to ask for an activation code which was already given.
We buy this annual rental in september and our students can't use it.

You will have received a large number of student "CD" licence codes and a link to the full version of Flowcode V4. Each student needs to be given one of these codes. They need to download and install the software, entering the "CD code" during the installation routine. They then need to provide activation details (via the "visit website" button) in the usual way. Once they have received the activation codes, they can enter these.

I hope this explains things.

If I use a code from the code list as CD code, here is what I can see on my test computer
register2.jpg
register2.jpg (159.46 KiB) Viewed 6063 times
For information, Flowcode V4-50 concurrent users was activated on this test computer before this test.
I can give the Matrix team a code from the list in a PM if necessary.

The "test" licence number is OK on an old xp computer. Flowcode 4.3 was on this computer. I upgraded to Flowcode V4.5 then apply the number.

For the w7 netbook (not working on the previous post). I tried to uninstall flowcode, remove any flowcode or matrix key in the register and then install again. I am still unable to register (same error).
I will try the code on other computers.
Do you have a flowcode cleaning method or can you find anything else which doesn't allow flowcode to register on some computer?

Hi Ben
I have found CCleaner to be a reliable registry / system cleaner.
Its a freeware program and I have had it on both my systems for a few years now.

http://www.piriform.com/

Note
This is my personal opinion, Im running it on x64 Windows 7 Pro SP1. (It has both x64 and x32 versions)
Might be worth trying it to see if you have anything left over in the registry.
It does show you what it will remove before it does clear and asks for confirmation first.
1 in 10 people understand binary, the other one doesn't !

Hi Ben,

No we dont have any Flowcode cleaning tool, but if you send another key to the student they should be able to use it, and then send that key to another student (essentially swap keys) as the computer has not seen this new key it should allow it to work.

Thank you.
The swap key method is working on that computer.
The "test" key can also register on a windows7 computer which have seen a site licence with flowcode v4.5.
