Memory Usage Report

Post by beambase »

Hello,
When I complie my project my Message.txt file used to look like this:

Launching the linker/assembler...
C:\Program\Matrix Multimedia\Flowcode V4\BoostC\boostlink.pic.exe -ld "C:\Program\Matrix Multimedia\Flowcode V4\BoostC\lib" libc.pic18.lib flowcode.pic18.lib rand.pic18.lib float.pic18.lib "Panel8490d.obj" -t PIC18F8490 -d "C:\Documents and Settings\Björn\Mina dokument\Flowcode\skarp2" -p "Panel8490d"

After adding the CAN component, the Message.txt looks like this, no Memory Usage Report:

Launching the linker/assembler...

C:\Program\Matrix Multimedia\Flowcode V4\BoostC\boostlink.pic.exe -ld "C:\Program\Matrix Multimedia\Flowcode V4\BoostC\lib" libc.pic18.lib flowcode.pic18.lib rand.pic18.lib float.pic18.lib "Panel8490e.obj" -t PIC18F8490 -d "C:\Documents and Settings\Björn\Mina dokument\Flowcode\skarp2" -p "Panel8490e"

I am using some custom CAN code supplied in this thread:

Is there a way to get the Memory usage report back?

regards

Bjorn

Hello

I have checked on the Sourceboost forums and cant seem to find a valid explaination for this at the moment. Can you replicate this problem. eg using certain components or does it seem to be more hit and miss then that?

Hi Ben,

I think the problem appears the moment there are certain errormessages from the assembler/linker.
If no errormessage, you see the memory usage.
If there is an errormessage, it looks that the memory status is overwritten by the error.

Rgds,

Eric
