hi martin
ive looked at my breadboard and found I had the wrong pull up resistor as id been experimenting, with the original 267R fitted im getting similar results but ive noticed my bread board is terrible, slightest move of a jumper wire and readings are erratic, I will need to invest in a better ...

Re: Using FVR on a adc channel
Hi martin
As always thanks for the reply i have been playing with resistor values so possibly i may have the wrong one fitted im away for a week but once back i will check and get back to you sorry for the delay and i appreciate the help i will check in when i get back
Cheers bob

Re: Using FVR on a adc channel
hi martin
as suggested i put a calculation box after the pot icon with read = 320 my display shows 91.97R my supply is a steady 5v
cheers bob

Re: Using FVR on a adc channel
hi martin
thanks for the reply, ive noticed that by using 4.096 i can measure roughly up to 1150 ohms but after this accuracy is out the window so by lowering the fvr i notice i get better accuracy going down resistor size so my original resistance checker not using fvr was way more accurate in ...

Re: Using FVR on a adc channel
Hi martin (medelec35)
not sure ive wrote the code correctly but with what i have done my 150R resistor now reads 145.2R which was better than the 208R i was getting, could you confirm my code and pot properties are correct please
cheers bob

Re: Using FVR on a adc channel
Hi all
first off id like to thank ben and martin for their help in me getting the FVR to work, but at this point im at a brick wall as nothing seems to work, ive attached my original program that measures resistance well up to a point the ref resistor can handle and this is fine, when compared to a ...

Re: Using FVR on a adc channel
hi martin
thanks for the reply, im a little baffled about setting up the fvr, i originally set FVRCON and thought then the rest of the setting up was done by the properties box for the potentiometer acting as the adc input, therefore i dont understand why in your 'setupadc' macro you have gone to ...

Re: Using FVR on a adc channel
hi ben
mega thanks for the reply, i have tried all 3 programs but again when measuring the 150R resistor the value is 475R, im using 267R from vcc to the input adc and 150R from the adc input to ground
cheers bob
