Nice suggestion! Thankschipfryer27 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 29, 2024 5:28 amHi
Could you just simply set "Use Tx" to "No" thereby freeing up the pin?

Re: Bluetooth after installing ESP IDF 5.x
Too bad that such things should happen when they are supposed to make things better.
I really hope that these issues are addressed as soon as possible.
This is a result of trying to add more ESP32 chips by upgrading the ESP IDF?

Bluetooth after installing ESP IDF 5.x
I've installed the latest toolchain for the ESP IDF and tried to use the ESP_BT example on this page: https://www.flowcode.co.uk/wiki/index.php?title=Component:_Bluetooth_(ESP32_SPP)_(Wireless) on a ESP_WROOM-32 board. Changed the settings for the Bluetooth to enable classic BT and SPP: BT1.jpg Flas...

ESP32: (unidirectional) RS422 component?
Is it possible to make (unidirectional) RS422 component for the ESP32? It seems that this is possible via one of the three UART controllers? https://docs.espressif.com/projects/esp-idf/en/v4.3/esp32/api-reference/peripherals/uart.html I just want to use the ESP to receive RS422 messages (not send th...

ESP32: IDF-5.1 recommended version?
In this topic: viewtopic.php?p=13782#p13782 Chipfryer writes that ESP IDF5.1 is the recommended version?
What's the status on that?

Re: ESP32 board nightmare
Be sure that the boards have supported versions of ESP32.
There are S2,S3,C2,C3,C6,H2 versions, not all are supported in FC10.

Re: ESP8266 Target Device
Newer esp32 variants should now be included and supported. As for the Bluetooth master I'll have a look at that as that should be fairly simple to do. Really? Would be the best thing since bread came sliced!! :D The S2,S3,C2,C3,C6,H2 are supported? Or some of them? They aren't announced on https://...

Re: ESP8266 Target Device
Not bad BenR, but the ESP8266 is outdated.
The ESP32 is old too, there are variants of the ESP32 that would be nicer to have as a supported chip in FC10?
Also different requested components seem to me to be more urgent and valuable? (like the Bluetooth master component )
