FC Closes when opening 2D dashboard panel

Post by hoozamawhatsit »

Hi all,

I am all of a sudden having an issue with FC9. When I open the 2d dash panel it opens, doesn't load the components then FC shuts down completely.
I can do everything else in FC when 2d panel is closed.
I have deleted everything FC and re-installed but issue is still there, PC is win11 which updated a few days ago, I have tried to delete the updates but they reinstall on startup.

any help would be appreciated

Hi hoozamawhatsit

Can you trie this? Set it to OpenGL software.

Hi Stefan,

It makes no difference if it is Open GL Hardware or Software and it only seems to be with the 2d panel, even in a new project without anything in it.
If I use 3d panel all is ok.
The issue is I can't select the individual component properties like CAN and SPI, these do not show on 3D panel.

Update: I have clean installed windows 11 and all seems to be fine, I have stopped any windows updates as it seems this has caused the issue.
Not totally resolved but it gets me out of trouble.

Cheers

Thanks for the update. The 2d and 3d panels are very similar in terms of how they work, so it is strange that only one is affected.

Please let us know if you encounter this issue again.
