Life is too short, I know the ESP32 can take ages on initial compilation but this was ridiculous. I had a file on a USB drive, I hit compile and went away to have a cuppa, when I came back it had hardly done anything. It had only reached about 200/1153, I sat there watching and it was worse than watching paint dry.
I copied the file to the hard drive and it whizzed through in a couple of minutes. I am not sure if it was due to the drive being almost full but definitely will not make that mistake again.
