Sensirion 4 th Generation Temperature Sensor STS4x

Post by stefan.erni »

Hi Ben

Would it be possible to make another component? STS40 from Sensirion?
A new sensor from Sensirion.
This is quite small and actually easy to read. One advantage of this sensor is that an I2C address is permanently programmed into it and it is available with three different addresses. A version on a FPCB is available and also a simple footprint for layout program.

STS40-AD1B, 0x44 I2C addr.
STS40-BD1B, 0x45 I2C addr.
STS40-CD1B, 0x46 I2C addr

Hi Ben

To start with temperature measurement I have a SHT30 board
I am trying to use the Sensirion SHT30 component, but I am getting strange readings.
Would it be possible to have a read register and write register command?
Comparable with other I2C components like mpu-6886.
So I could control the raw values from the SHT30.

instead of the SHT30 later I try to use SHT40 also
and I could also read the matching registers from the SHT40 without having a new component.

regards

Stefan
