Hi,
I reluctantly decided to get a Windows 11 PC, not sure if that was a smart decision.
I have installed FC10 and added my licence, this is as far as the good news goes.
I then tried to install the ESP32 toolchain, I know this one can be problematic so printed out the installation notes. I got the initial setup but when i clicked next there was no option for the licence agreement, all I got was a box saying repair or remove. I tried repair but it just hung so abandoned that.
I then tried to install the Raspberry Pi toolchain and got exactly the same thing.
Is there an issue with Windows 11?
Regards,
Bob

Re: Toolchain installation woes
Well that was strange, I decided to try uninstalling and it went through the process, i then restarted the PC and it asked me if I wanted to carry on installing Proteus which was already installed ?
Anyway, I then tried to install the toolchains and they went both went through as expected ????
Regards,
Bob

Re: Toolchain installation woes
Hi Bob
I feel your pain.....
It is well documented the woes that come with espressif.
However last year I did migrate to W11 and had no issue at all, but then that was before espressif changed things. RPi gave no problems. I followed the instructions and also in the WiKi https://www.flowcode.co.uk/wiki/index.p ... Toolchains.
Was there any permission pop-up that may have been hidden behind something?
Regards
EDIT
You replied as I did. Glad you have it sorted.

Re: Toolchain installation woes
Sounds though you are sorted AOK.
To add to Iain's tips - the trick I find usually works (and 5.4.1 installed AOK at the weekend) is to run install.bat (from the toolchain folder) - either from a command prompt or by double click - this is after the Espressif install has done it's worst. It should do quite a lot of 'stuff' including some progress bars (in Technicolor) - then set path in FC and good to go....
