Hi,
I mostly use Flowcode for the visual structure it provides to my C code. the “Customise Code” feature would be a very handy
feature for me but is only available in the Pro version.
I’d be willing to pay a bit extra just for this specific feature, but I can’t really justify paying £330 for the full Pro package.
I’m not sure if this is possible — just thought I’d ask.
Best regards,

Re: Costomise code
Thanks for the question. The short answer is that it's not possible to split up the extra features of the pro pack and sell them separately.
There are several features of Flowcode that we have made available in the "professional" and "academic" versions only. We have done this so there are extra benefits for those users beyond the licensing requirement that commercial use of Flowcode requires this "pro" pack.
In the past we have broken down "feature packs" and allowed these to be bought separately. But we felt this complicated the purchasing process and adopted the 2-tier standard/pro strategy we now have.
There are other ways to incorporate C code into your Flowcharts - Supplementary Code and the Code flowchart icon. I realise these will not show the visual structure as you would like, but you might be able to use "Flowcode" icons (e.g. "While 1") alongside a C-code icon (e.g. "if (my_c_expression == correct)") to provide visual structure and full customisation (although this could potentially introduce code problems and I wouldn't recommend it).
The other feature you could use is to customise the colour of individual icons (by right-clicking and selecting "Set colour"). Again, it's not what you are asking for. But it might help show some form of structure to your C code.

Re: Costomise code
Hi Steve,
Thanks for your reply — I understand. What I actually need is the function code itself. For example, I’d like to copy the code of a component to send data so I can include it later in a C-block.
At the moment, I use View Annotations as Code, but since that view doesn’t allow copying, I have to open the compiled C file, search for the function there, and copy it manually.
It would be much easier if Flowcode allowed copying directly from the View Annotations as Code window.

Re: Costomise code
Also, with this Account till now I have bought Flowcode V6, V7, V9, V10, and now V11. I can consider buying the Pro Version. However, if I need to buy the Pro version again when V12 is out(even at half price), that’s probably not something I can do.
But if purchasing it once means it stays linked to my account permanently, and I just pay for the chip packs, then I can consider upgrading.

Hi Alan,
Thanks for the loyalty you have shown us over the years. Hopefully you have seen Flowcode improve over these versions and can see the continued effort we at Matrix put into developing the product.
I personally do not control pricing policy - if I did I'd probably give Flowcode away and quickly be out of a job! - but I will feedback your concerns to my colleagues.
