ESP tool chain not installed!

Hi!

Just received my ESP 32 and want to test. After install the toolchain I try to compile to chip, I get the message "ESP toolchain not installed is there some special I have to do?

Tryed again, and yes, I have forgot the location in global setting, sorry. Now it begin to compile, but will not program the ESP32

You also need to set the COM programming port, see this post ..
viewtopic.php?p=57#p57

Some ESP modules also need the BOOT switch pressed when programming.

Hi LEigh!

Your suggest already tryed. I cannot see any comport in the settings , no matter what I do. I hear the pling when I connect the USB and see Com17 when I att the USB in devicemanager

Have you selected COM17 as the programmer port on the Project Options screen?

This works similar to the port for Arduino programming.
